Why stay in a dull chain hotel with institutional carpeting and expensive WiFi when you can stay in a private apartment or B&B at very reasonable prices? I like staying in beautifully designed apartments and B&Bs because you get more space, personal service and privacy. Recently I discovered an online service called AirBnB which lets you search for apartments and rooms in private homes around the world. It’s an excellent service because there are also user reviews and maps so you can see exactly where the places are located and what people say about them.
