Conservatorium Hotel is the newest in luxury accommodations in Amsterdam. It is located close to the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and to the high-end shopping street, P.C. Hooftstraat. Opened in 2012, the hotel occupies the famous site of Amsterdam’s former Sweelinck music conservatorium which was built at the end of the 19th century. The Concertgebouw is only a few minutes away so if you like classical music, make sure you check out their agenda. The Concertgebouw Orchestra is one of the best in the world.
The hotel is within walking distance to Vondelpark, an oasis of green and tranquility in this busy city. You can walk, run or bike around Vondelpark, or if weather permits, sit on one of the grassy areas in the sun. All of Amsterdam is easily reachable by tram from the hotel (Tram No. 2).
The hotel has 129 rooms and suites, spanning eight floors, all of which are all equipped with state-of-the-art in-room technology as well as luxury linens and amenities. All rooms and suites pay homage to the building’s original lofty ceilings with nearly half of the rooms have been transformed into stunning duplex layouts with large windows and exposed structural beams. All rooms include double glazed windows, free WiFi, bathrooms with flat screen TVs, and complimentary access to the Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Center.
As a spa hotel, the 1000 sqm Holistic Wellbeing Center includes an indoor swimming pool, a signature spa, cutting-edge gym and a yoga studio. The spa features exclusive Watsu pool hydro-treatments, special hammam treatments and signature therapies using the finest local and international products.
