First Hotel Grims Grenka: chic design hotel in Oslo, Norway

Selected as one of The Guardian’s Top 12 trips in 2008, Oslo is a city most people never think of visiting, but perhaps now is the time. If you decide to go, make sure you check out the First Hotel Grims Grenka has a total of 50 rooms which includes 6 suites, many of them as large as 70 square metres.  They have a unique polished and professional style that is influenced both by Norwegian design and minor touches of mysticism and sensuality of the East.

The hotel is near the Akershus Fortress, just a few blocks from the Karl Johans gate making it an ideal base for travelers. It is also perfect for business people as it is only five minutes away from the central station and has conference facilities for small meetings. There is Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

They have a tea and cocktail bar, as well as a rooftop lounge bar with fantastic views of the city. Their restaurant, Madu, serves Nordic raw food (which can also be cooked if preferred).
