If you are going to Salzburg and want to stay in a lovely hotel owned by a three generations of a local family, check out the Hotel and Villa Auersperg, located in the Schallmoos district, close to the Mirabell Gardens, a historic quarter with excellent restaurants and shops.
The hotel consists of two buildings: one that dates back to 1900, with 32 rooms, and a villa built in 1892 with 23 rooms. All of the rooms in the hotel and the villa have been individually styled and tastefully decorated — antiques from the region have been combined with elements of modern, urban design.
