Hotel Edgar Paris is a trendy new 12-room boutique hotel that just opened in the 2nd arrondissement (Sentier area) close to the rue Montorgueil. It is only 1 kilometre from the Centre Pompidou and 750 metres from the Grands Boulevards. This means you have access to all the main sights of Paris either by walking or taking the nearby metro stations. But just in the neighbourhood are boutiques that sell clothing and accessories created by young up-and-coming designers, as well as popular restaurants like Frenchie on rue du Nil.
The hotel’s most distinctive features are the individually decorated rooms designed by the owners’ friends, who happen to be artists and interior decorators. There’s free Wi-Fi and air conditioning (this is critical in the summer when the city can get extremely hot). The hotel has a small restaurant that serves delicious seafood dishes and if the weather is fine, you can sit outside on the terrace for drinks. They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
