Hotel Savoy Yangon: elegant colonial boutique hotel in Rangoon, Myanmar (Burma)

Hotel Savoy Yangon Myanmar Burma

Hotel Savoy Yangon is a splendid little boutique hotel to stay in if you are going to Rangoon (Yangon). Located in a renovated colonial building close to the Shwedagon Pagoda, Hotel Savoy Yangon boasts polished dark wood floors, wooden balconies overlooking a blue-tiled swimming pool and vintage ceiling fans take you back in time to the British colonial period. The hotel has only 24 rooms (each is 45 square metres) and 6 suites; all are filled with Burmese antiques and teak furniture. The hotel has a cozy bar and a restaurant that serves Burmese specialties and Western cuisine. Despite the old colonial ambiance, it has all the modern conveniences one expects of a 21st century hotel, such as a Wi-Fi and TV. Quiet and very private, the hotel is the ideal place to relax after a long day of sightseeing in Yangon.
