If you are looking for a bed and breakfast in the center of Amsterdam, check out Kamer 01, a stylish B&B located in a renovated house built in the late 1500s on the Singel canal. The B&B is only two blocks away from the Flower Market and it is in an area filled with wonderful shops, restaurants and historic monuments such as the tranquil Begijnhof. Only a few minutes away are the cool boutiques of the 9 Streets (Negen Straatjes), a popular shopping haunt of fashionistas all over the world (recommended streets: Hartenstraat, Wolvenstraat, Runstraat, all of which intersect the canals). There’s also an amazing cheese shop on the Runstraat called De Kaaskamer and fantastic fish restaurant called Zuid Zeeland, a few steps away.
The red room (shown above) has a king-sized bed, airconditioning, an iMac, flatscreen TV, Wi-Fi, and private bath. There’s a 2-night minimum stay. Prices start at 188 EUR per night.
