Le General Hotel Paris: chic boutique hotel near Canal Saint Martin

Le General Hotel Paris is a retro-inspired boutique hotel designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel located in the trendy 11th arrondissement of Paris. Upon entering the hotel, you are immediately welcomed by the warm ambiance and colourful design. Decorated with bright pops of colour from pink-stenciled walls to yellow armchairs, the lobby provides a hint of the peacefulness yet exciting aura that is hidden inside the rooms of the hotel.

Located near Canal Saint Martin, which is currently the favourite district among Parisian foodies who are looking for novel culinary adventures, Le General Hotel is also just a short walk away from the Marais and the Place des Vosges. It is near the République and Oberkampf metro lines, which are convenient for people who want to explore the main sights of Paris within a day or two.

Le General Hotel Paris has a fitness center that includes treadmills, rowing machines, and a sauna; they also offer massage treatments if you are tired and achy after a long flight. A business center is open 24 hours a day and room service is available for guests. A bar is also located in the hotel, should you need a nightcap or mid-day cocktail.

You can choose from among four different types of rooms. The Cosy is a small, comfortable room for single occupancy. Like the other rooms, it provides a shower, air-conditioning, a safety box, free WiFi, a Nespresso coffee maker and a hair dryer. The Classic is a bit larger than the Cosy, and provides room for up to two people in a modern, neutral setting. However, the best part of the Classic room is the stylish deck that allows you to enjoy your morning cup of coffee and croissant reading the newspaper, all while gazing down below at those wandering the streets of Paris.

The Privilege rooms can accommodate up to three guests, giving you more space to feel at home, with the same décor and amenities as the other rooms. The Suite, the largest of the four options, can take up to four people; it has a lounge area, where guests can relax before heading out for the day. Depending on the room selected and dates of the trip, rates can range from 177 euros to 330 euros, with an 18 euro extra charge for the breakfast buffet.

Make sure you take advantage of the restaurant and bar scene in the Canal Saint Martin area if you are staying at Le General Hotel Paris. It has attracted a lot of young chefs who create wonderful innovative cuisine in their small cozy restaurants.
