Maison sur la Sorgue: boutique hotel in the heart of Isle sur la Sorgue (Provence)

Isle sur la Sorgue is one of the most popular towns to visit in the Provence for a good reason: it holds two international antiques fairs every year, one around Easter and another in August. If you miss them, don’t worry; there are small weekly antiques markets as well as a large number of antique dealers in town. Because the town is situated on the river Sorgue, it is delightful to walk around and hang out in one of the many waterside cafes and restaurants.

If you are looking for a place to stay, there are so many hotels and chambre d’hotes to choose from, but one of the prettiest is the Maison sur la Sorgue, a former private mansion situated in the center of town. The mansion has been in the family for many generations and has been carefully restored to meet modern standards without compromising the historical integrity of the building and its details.
