Puri Lumbung Cottages in Bali

Puri Lumbung Cottages in Bali are made of 80-year old restored ‘lumbung’ or rice granaries and are part of Bali’s unique cultural heritage. Traditionally used to store rice under the protection of the goddess Dewi Sri, they have been converted into an “eco resort” near the village on Munduk in the central-northern part of the island.

Munduk has a rich history and is located between 500 and 1200 meters in the mountains so temperatures are 20C to 25C year round. The resort has standard, family and deluxe family cottages, as well as a spa and a restaurant. Activities for visitors include trekking, mountain biking and yoga. Staying at Puri Lumbung gives one a feeling of the “unexplored Bali”, a dramatically different experience to staying in Seminyak or even Ubud.  Cottages start at $89 for a couple.
