If you are planning a visit to Malaysia, check out the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort, a luxurious hotel with  its own private beach and splendid views of nearby coral islands. Located ten minutes from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, the resort has 492 rooms and suites, six restaurants and bars, and other recreational opportunities.

All of the rooms have been recently renovated to provide contemporary luxury inspired by the colors and textures of traditional Borneo.
