With 58 rooms and luxurious suites, the inn has picturesque views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and is part boutique hotel, part ski chalet, and fully relaxing. The rooms are spacious and well-designed with décor that is a bit funky and whimsical with metal vanities and soothing lighting. However, PlumpJack doesn’t skimp on comfort and has a large and warm bed to add an extra sense of warmth to the cozy rooms. Amenities include flat screen TVs, WiFi access, and an In-Room Movie System.
If you are in Tahoe looking to hit the slopes, you will be pleased to find that the location is excellent for skiing at Squaw, with the cable car only a few steps away. If skiing, or in my case tumbling down mountains, isn’t your idea of a good time, you can take advantage of PlumpJack’s fitness facility, pool and hot tubs. Furthermore, there are thousands of acres of scenic hiking trails that I can assure you from experience are truly beautiful all year round. Be sure to ask the staff for any other activity ideas as they are known to be quite helpful and knowledgeable.
In addition to excellent service, PlumpJack is known for their exceptional cuisine which is served at their dining room and café bar. The Inn is also a popular destination for weddings; the ballroom space has floor-to-ceiling views of the rugged mountains and landscaped gardens, the outdoor pool patio and creek side locations further create the ideal romantic setting for ceremonies, receptions and dining.
